Parwez Aliyar was born in 1971 in Kabul, Afghanistan, where he now lives with his mother and brother. 

He went to primary school in Kabul and later to Shahdoshamshera High School and graduated from Year 12. During the Afghan wars, he spent 10 yeras in Pakistan with his family.  

Parwez plays the guitar and plays both lead and bass. Previously he was with a number of bands and with the encouragement of his brother Bashir Ahmad Aliyar, he started singing recently.

He loves Farhad Darya, Fawad Ramez, Ehsan Aman and Wahid Omaid from Afghan Singers. He also likes Keshor Kamar-Shan and Sonu Nigam as well as Modern Talking and Shakira.
